No!  Please contact us ONLY when your appointment is complete and we will immediately dispatch a driver for your return. If we arrive and you are not ready, causing our driver to leave, it can possibly lead to a longer wait time.

A pre-authorization letter from your insurer is required for private insurance, national insurance, and workers compensation insurance, before using our transportation service.

We do not provide services directly to Medicaid patients.  You would need to contact your designated broker.

We understand that services may be needed – long after “normal business hours” – and we know you need a medical transport service that is available when you need it. Our drivers are on call for you 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, and we can take you anywhere you need to go in Bexar County. Additional fees will apply after-hour service.

It is encouraged that first-time customers who need to speak with our team or for billing and other administrative needs call 210-###-#### to book transportation. Our office staff works from Monday through Friday from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm. However, all customers are welcome to schedule their ride at their own convenience 24 hours ahead of time through our website or by phone.

Customers can book trips online 24 hours ahead of time. For any trips less than 24-hours, customers need to call to work out a sensible solution. Our goal is to accommodate trips that are at least 3 hours away. Please note that same-day transport services are most readily available to customers with flexible travel schedules. For specific travel times, please note that advance reservations are strongly encouraged, as our fleet is often booked several days ahead of time.

Medi-Ryde completely understands that plans change and do our best to accommodate. Advanced notice is highly encouraged. For 24 hours or more notice, there is no charge to change or cancel a trip. We have a $25 charge for cancellations without 24-hour notice. We don’t charge for changes; however, due to a moving schedule, we may not be able to accommodate your changes. Every attempt is made to work with customers for changes. For cancellations with less than 2-hour notice or if we dispatch a vehicle and no one shows up (no show), we will charge a no-show fee of half the trip cost if it is a round-trip and the full cost if it is a one-way trip.

Yes, with advanced notice we work to provide evening and weekend hours.

Absolutely! For your comfort and concern, we welcome one family member or caretaker to accompany you to appointments. Please inform our office of your companion when scheduling your appointment. 

We will work to accommodate all reasonable requests. Our primary mission is to safely and securely transport you to your appointment. Our drivers cannot be delayed in moving or carrying extra items. Furthermore, for your safety, we cannot have unsecured items in the vehicle.
